Bally bags: stylish companions for every occasion
Contemporary aesthetics meet traditional craftsmanship: Bally bags are refined, high-quality accessories backed by more than 170 years of expertise. They stand out for their timeless, understated designs—perfect for various occasions and a range of looks. Created with Swiss precision and perfection, they’re built for lifelong use and will become your trusted companions. Art and modern architecture serve as key inspirations in the design process. As a result, Bally bags, despite their minimalist appeal, are distinctive pieces that draw attention. Whether it's a Bally handbag or crossbody, one of the brand’s signature elements is the red-white-red stripe motif. This pays tribute to the Swiss flag and symbolises the brand’s commitment to premium quality and effortless elegance.
Bally bags for women
From compact Bally bags for a stroll through town to spacious business shoppers for the office—the selection for women is diverse and meets every need. The range includes handbags, clutches, hobos, bucket bags, backpacks and belt bags. Most Bally bags are crafted from leather, though some models feature a mix of canvas and genuine leather. Items from the innovative B-Echo collection are made from recycled nylon: it’s durable, lightweight and water-repellent—ideal for daily use. Regardless of material, Bally relies on proven decorative features such as perforations, colour blocking, edge trims, woven elements, graphic prints, quilting and more. The signature stripe motif is also highly popular—appearing in its classic form or as a curved version with the so-called bombé effect across many bags, backpacks and wallets. A delicate Bally crossbody typically comes with a slim chain strap. More eye-catching Bally bags for women feature oversized metal Janelle buckles, while mirrored BB-turn-locks add striking details to statement crossbodies.
The Bally men's range: bags, backpacks and travel gear
The selection for men includes business bags, crossbody bags, backpacks, messenger bags and belt bags. Elegant trolleys and weekenders round out Bally’s offering for men. Whether it’s a Bally briefcase or suitcase, the brand’s masculine products are defined by clean shapes and muted tones. The iconic stripe trio serves as a distinctive highlight, appearing on many men's bags—especially adding a sporty and dynamic touch to Bally briefcases. In addition to decorative use, the stripe also features on shoulder straps, creating visually appealing contrasts.
One of the world’s oldest luxury brands – Bally
The Swiss company was founded in 1851 as a shoe factory by Carl Franz Bally and his brother Fritz. A few years later, Fritz left the business, leaving Carl Franz in full control. From the very beginning, the founder prioritised premium materials, appealing design and meticulous craftsmanship—an approach that earned Bally widespread popularity and international acclaim. One of the most iconic moments in Bally’s history was the production of the reindeer boots worn by Tenzing Norgay during his first ascent of Mount Everest alongside Edmund Hillary in 1953. In 1976, the brand expanded its product line to include leather bags and accessories, crafted with the same high standards. Since its inception, Bally has stood for a responsible approach to business. Even in its early days, Carl Franz Bally pioneered employee welfare by introducing amenities such as an on-site canteen, kindergarten and recreation park. Today, Bally is committed to protecting mountain environments. In early 2020, the brand founded the Bally Peak Outlook Foundation, dedicated to preserving fragile alpine landscapes around the world. All proceeds from the associated collection go directly to environmental conservation projects.
